Our Purpose

Welcome to Bridgewire, Northern Nevada’s Makerspace for over a decade.

A COMMUNITY INDUSTRIAL WORKSHOP

We are a member-funded 501(c)(3) non-profit Makerspace / Hackerspace / Workshop located in Sparks, NV. We serve the Reno-Sparks area and are open 24/7 to all members. Every Thursday from 6pm-8pm and some Saturday mornings we hold an “Open House” for non-members to come see what we’re all about and join.

Our Mission is to:

Provide a community industrial workshop for the education and practice of the industrial arts in woodworking, metalworking, electronics, and other fabrication technologies. We foster a collaborative environment wherein people can explore and create intersections between technology, science, art, and culture. There is space to work on projects, learn skills in classes, and share knowledge through groups.

Our Vision is to:

Grow BRIDGEWIRE into an integral part of the Reno/Sparks fabric of innovation, STEAM, and business startups as a communal industrial facility with well-appointed multi-functional work spaces. We are populated by knowledgeable volunteers with expertise who train and mentor. We operate autonomously to fulfill our mission to our stakeholders.
